About the Foundation

The Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit that was formed in January, 2024 by members of the Arvada community to raise funds to support initiatives of the Arvada Police Department beyond those supported by public funding.  The Foundation is a Colorado nonprofit corporation, and is registered with the Colorado Secretary of State under the Colorado Charitable Solicitations Act. 

Our Mission

The Arvada Police Foundation is dedicated to raising funds to promote the partnerships between the Arvada Police Department and the community, and to support the Department in its mission of providing exceptional police service.

Our Goals

  • Building long-lasting and positive police-community relationships;

  • Promoting police officer safety and wellness;

  • Expanding police/youth programs;

  • Honoring the memory of fallen officers who have sacrificed their lives for the protection of the public;

  • Creating training opportunities for members of the Department; 

  • Supporting the acquisition of new and improved technology and equipment; and 

  • Providing support not available from public funding to supplement the needs of the Arvada Police Department.
