Arvada Police Department Explorer Team Wins Awards at State Conference

The Arvada Police Department Explorer Post is an interactive educational program for young adults interested in law enforcement. Participants learn the basic skills needed to become police officers. The APD Explorer Team attended the state conference along with their advisors. The team participated in a competition with 31 teams from around Colorado and won the following awards:

  • Crisis Intervention: 1st Place

  • Domestic Violence Calls: 1st Place

  • Vehicle inventory: 2nd Place

  • Prowler Calls: 5th Place

Emma Verdugo

  • Traffic stop: 4th Place

  • Prowler Calls: 4th Place

Kensey Lindeman

  • Traffic stops: 1st Place

  • Unknown Alarm: 5th Place

Katie Danis

  • Domestic Violence: 4th Place

  • Obstacle Course: 4th Place
