Arvada Police Foundation Formed

In late 2023, a group of community supporters of the Department, at the initiative of Chief Edward Brady and Public Information Officer David Snelling of the Arvada Police Department, decided to establish the Arvada Police Foundation. Dedicated to raising funds to promote the partnerships between the Arvada Police Department and the community, and to supporting the Department in its mission of providing exceptional police service, the Foundation was incorporated as a Colorado nonprofit corporation on January 27. 2024 and has applied to the Internal Revenue Service for recognition of its tax exemption under Section 501(c)(3).

The Foundation is governed by an independent Board of Directors. Detective Snelling has been appointed by Chief Brady to be the Department’s liaison to the Board of the Foundation.

The Foundation already has sponsored a 2024 Family Day for members of the Department and their families. In addition, the Foundation has joined with the Department and the City of Arvada to build a memorial to those Arvada Police officers who died in the line of duty in recognition of their sacrifice to protect our community.
